After hiking through snow drifts and a wind so strong it blew the mountaineering lamp off my head, I made it to this creek in the pre-dawn darkness. I waited here in the howling wind until sunrise slowly emerged over mount Athabasca. After three years of bad luck with light, I finally got perhaps the best sunrise I have ever seen. And it came on the last day of the last trip of the year. Determination matters in landscape photography!
